November Events

The last online event of 2021, held on the 16th of November and organised by the ANZ Croatian Women in Leadership, featured four sessions dedicated to leadership, automation, people and culture, and marketing, aimed at personal skills development.

Marija Kapiteli

Marija Kapiteli from New Zealand, Managing Director of Croatia Times Travel Group, prepared the topic Leadership & resilience – strengths & learnings on being a better leader. In her session, she focused on adaptability and attitude, vision, vulnerability and mental health. 

She heads CTTG, a destination management company focused on Croatia, Italy, Slovenia and selected European destinations. 

Marija’s strength is a combination of unfailing vision, punchy attitude, and an ability to adapt quickly to change, coupled with bundles of grit and determination. She’s in sync with her team and time and again Marija has proven to be the leader that you want close when things get tough.

Michelle Barry

Michelle Barry from Victoria, an Experienced Executive in energising engagement, strategy and transformation spoke about systems, strategy and automation. The topic covered How to stay connected and how to find help

In 2009 Michele started her own consultancy, Frontis. She uses her extensive knowledge of people, projects and workplace environments to help others make their organisations more efficient and effective. She’s passionate about empowering people and creating positive outcomes through better stakeholder engagement. 

Ema Šarić

Ema Šarić from South Australia is a People and Culture leader, and her topic was Leading through these challenging times after restrictions

As a leader in People & Culture, she focuses on developing integrated talent solutions, aligned to the business vision and strategy. Recognised as an insightful Human Resources leader, Ema works to develop a deep understanding of her clients, their business and the markets they operate. She has a strong ability to successfully partner with leaders to create an inspiring and inclusive workplace, attracting the best talent in the market. With a passion for coaching, her success comes from the ability to work with all levels of an organisation, ensuring talent strategies are effective and future-ready.

Maria Eades

Maria Eades from New South Wales, from Salted Stone Marketing Company, prepared the topic of Unravelling marketing in the current landscape. Maria assists her company in becoming a market leader in developing strategic marketing, branding and concept creation for growing companies and delivering measurable ROI for clients through strategy, creative brand design, digital platforms and quality communication.

Getting the message to customers seems harder than ever before, so Maria’s topic helped with addressing what’s important and what’s not, as well as where one should be spending time and focusing their efforts. 

Additional events were held in November: on the 19th of November, ladies met in NSW for the Boardroom Lunch. Those based in SA met on the 25th of November at Tomich Wines whilst, in the ACT they gathered at the Celebration Dinner on the 27th, at Canberra’s iconic Croatian restaurant Spit Shack.
