The Australia-New Zealand Croatian Women in Leadership Summit, held from the 25th to the 27th February, was attended by over 130 women who came from around Australia. Unfortunately, due to border restrictions at the time, New Zealand members couldn’t join on this occasion.
The weekend commenced with a Welcome Reception at the Parliament House Members’ Hall, whilst the conference was held at the Doma Realm Hotel.
Members were welcomed by Co-Founders Betty Pavelich, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, and Sonja Palic, Business Manager and the organisation’s Chair.
The highlight for the weekend was keynote speaker, former President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović. Four panels, Foundations for the Future, Leading in Challenging Times, Successful Creative Journeys and the Wellbeing of our Communities featured 16 panellists.
The Sunday Brunch on the 27th was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia and featured the Launch of the Mentor Program, the Young Person’s Program and the Education Program.
The next summit will be held in Croatia, Biograd na Moru, Hotel Ilirija, from the 8th until the 10th of September 2023.
